but he could not swim across the river. suddenly a good idea came upon his mind. he asked the gorilla to help him lay a long stick across the river so that they could share the peaches together. no sooner had the monkey gone across the river than he drew the stick away.
the gorilla couldn’t get across the river and got angry. then he decided to go away without helping the monkey back. the monkey ate a lot of peaches before he realized he couldn’t go back home. he had nothing to do but cry alone. it really served him right.

She is full filled with memories. She told me that I was quiet and docile when I was little.
My parents went to work all day, and my grandmother took care of me and my cousin. After she fed me, I sat and played myself. She didn’t have to worry much about me.
I almost made no troubles. But my cousin was not.
He never sat well or ate his food tactfully. My grandmother had to always keep an eye on him to prevent making troubles.

趙老師講課很生動，對工作認真負責，每次講新課之前，她都會讓我們背誦一下昨天學過的詞語和句子。有一次，一個同學把“school”念錯了，念成了“撕褲”，老師馬上說：“什么？撕褲，你要撕誰的褲子？”這一句話讓我們都笑了，就連那個同學也笑得合不攏嘴。
還有一次，一個同學在寫作業(yè)時，把“媽媽又高又瘦”的.英語寫成了“媽媽又高又矮”。第二天趙老師一上課就說：“昨天的作業(yè)，有的同學寫的不認真，把又高又瘦，寫成了又高又矮，你媽媽是高還是矮？莫非是一天高，一天矮？”這次，我們笑得腰都直不起來了。
趙老師講課就是這么幽默，但有的時候也很嚴厲。我們班的一個同學好幾次都沒有按時完成作業(yè)，這天老師一進教室就大聲說：“今天誰沒有完成作業(yè)，站起來”。那個同學不好意思的站了起來。趙老師馬上狠狠地批評了他，就連我們也感到害怕。從此以后，那個同學每次都能按時寫完作業(yè)，其他同學學習也不敢不認真了。
這就是我們的英語老師，一個既幽默風趣，又十分嚴厲的老師，正因為這樣，我們都很喜歡她。
