while做名詞：
1、After lunch, she likes to take a nap for a while.
她喜歡午飯后瞇一會兒。
2、It takes a while to adapt to a new environment.
適應(yīng)新環(huán)境需要花一段時間。
while做連詞：
1、引導(dǎo)時間狀語，解釋為“當(dāng)...的時候”。
（1）We must strike while the iron is hot.
趁熱打鐵。（我們必須當(dāng)鐵熱的時候去擊打它。）
（2）While he is speaking, he does a lot of gestures.
他演講的時候有很多手勢。
2、引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，意思是“雖然…但是…”。
這種情況，while 多放于句首
