　　I ran into a stranger as he passed by.“I’m so sorry!”was my reply.Then he said,“Excuse

　　me too…I wasn’t even watching for you.” We were very polite,this stranger and I.Then we went on our ways after saying good-bye.

　　But at home,a different story is told.How we treat our loved ones,young and old.Later.in

　　the kitchen,as I cooked our meal,my daughter crept1 up to me,very still.When I turned.I

　　nearly knocked her down.“Get out of the way!” I barked with a frown.She sauntered2 away.

　　with her little heart broken. I didn’t realize how harshly I’d spoken.

　　That night, as I lay awake in bed,God’s quiet voice spoke to me and said, “While dealing with a stranger, you’re calm and polite.but with those you love, you’re QUICK to excite…Go look right now on the kitchen floor,you’11 find some flowers there by the door.Those are the flowers she brought for you. She picked them herself--pink,yellow,and blue.She stood there quietly,not to spoil your surprise,And you never saw the tears in her eyes.

　　By this time, I felt sad and small and now my own tears had begun to fall. I quietly went and knelt by her bed;” Wake up, sweetheart, wake up,” I said, ”Are these the flowers you picked for me?” She smiled,” I found’ em, out by the tree. I wrapped “em, especially the blue.” I said, “I’m so sorry that I missed them today… And I shouldn’t have fussed at you that way.”

　　And she whispered,“Mommy,that’s ok ay…I still love you anyway.”I hugged her and said.

　　“I love you too…And I LOVE my flowers, especially the blue.”

　　Are you aware that:If you die tomorrow, the company that you are working for could easily

　　replace you in a matter of days.But the family you leave behind will feel the loss for the rest

　　of their lives.And come to think of it,we pour ourselves more into our work than into our families--an unwise investment indeed.

　　◆ 路上撞上一個(gè)陌生人.“真對(duì)不起!”我真心表達(dá)歉意.他說:“也請(qǐng)你原諒我……我競(jìng)沒有留意你.”我們都客客氣氣,那位陌生人和我自己.然后道了聲再見,我們各自離去.

　　她撞倒,“走開！”我皺著眉沖她大喊.她緩緩離去,有了心碎的體驗(yàn),而我卻沒意識(shí)到我真應(yīng)該為我的呵斥汗顏.

　　那夜里我躺在床上尚未合眼.上帝輕柔的聲音傳到我耳邊:“當(dāng)你和陌生人打交道時(shí),你鎮(zhèn)靜而有禮,但對(duì)你所愛的人,你卻容易起急……馬上到廚房地板上看一眼,你會(huì)看見一些鮮花在門邊.那是她帶給你的鮮花,是她自己采的——粉的,黃的,還有藍(lán)色的.她靜靜地站在那里,不想破壞你的驚喜,你卻沒有看見她眼角里噙著的淚滴.

　　此時(shí),我感到悲傷、渺小；此時(shí),我已潸然淚下.我輕輕走進(jìn)女兒房間,跪在她的床邊,“醒醒,親愛的,醒醒,”我輕輕呼喚.“這些是你采摘給我的鮮花?”

　　她露出笑顏:“我發(fā)現(xiàn)了它們,在樹下.我用紙巾將它們包起,只是為了送給你.我知道你會(huì)喜歡它們,特別是那藍(lán)色的花.”我羞愧萬分:“抱歉我傍晚沒看見它們,我真不應(yīng)該對(duì)你大聲嚷嚷.”

　　她悄悄說道:“媽咪,沒關(guān)系……我依然愛你.”我擁抱她,對(duì)她說出心里話:“我也愛你…我愛你送我的花,特別是那藍(lán)色的花.”

　　你有沒有想過:如果明天你離世而去,你供職的公司可以不用幾天就找到人替代你.但是你撒手拋下的家人卻要用余生感受失去你的悲傷.想想看,我們將身

　　心更多地投人工作,而不是家——實(shí)在是本末倒置!
