practice makes perfect 熟能生巧
practice可作動詞，意思為“練習(xí)，實踐”。后面可跟名詞、代詞，若跟動詞，必須用動詞ing形式。

她每天練習(xí)鋼琴。
She practices playing the piano every day.
她每天練習(xí)彈鋼琴。
2. What were you doing this time yesterday? I called you but nobody answered the phone.
昨天的這個時候你正在干什么？我打電話給你但是沒有人接電話。

3. I was doing some washing.
我正在洗衣服。
was為am的過去式，was / were + V-ing為過去進行時，表示過去某個時間正在做的事。
do some washing = wash clothes，也可用do the washing
類似的短語有：do some shopping 購物 do some reading 讀書 do some writing 寫點東西 do some cleaning 打掃衛(wèi)生
4. Were you playing on the computer?
你正在玩電腦嗎？
此句為過去進行時的一般疑問句，肯定句變一般疑問句時只需把was / were提前，其回答形式：Yes, 主 + was / were. No, 主 + wasn’t / weren’t.

1. Yeah, I think so.
是的，我認為也是如此。
I think so用于當別人發(fā)表對某物或事的評價時，你也擁有同樣的評價時用，意思為：我也認為如此，其否定形式為I don’t think so. 我認為不是這樣。如：
I hope so. 我希望如此。
I hope not. 我希望不是。
I’m afraid so. 恐怕是這樣。
I’m afraid not. 恐怕不是。
2. But aren’t the scenes beautiful?
但是難道場景不漂亮嗎？
為一個否定的一般疑問句，常用來表示反問，但表達說話人的一個肯定的觀點意思是“難道不……？”，其結(jié)構(gòu)是：
（1）be動詞的否定結(jié)構(gòu)＋主語＋……？
（2）情態(tài)動詞/助動詞（do, does, did）的否定結(jié)構(gòu)＋主語＋動詞原形＋……？
如：Don’t you play basketball?
難道你不打籃球嗎？
Aren’t you a student?
難道你不是一個學(xué)生嗎？
其回答形式也常用Yes, No，否定疑問式的回答要根據(jù)具體情況而定，以上句為例：如果是學(xué)生，回答用Yes，如果不是學(xué)生，回答則用No。如：
Don’t you play basketball?
難道你不打籃球嗎？
Yes, I do. 不，我打。
No, I don’t. 是的，我不打。
Aren’t you a student?
難道你不是一個學(xué)生嗎？
Yes, I am. 不，我是。
No, I’m not. 是，我不是。
3. I believe they are just so --so.
我認為他們是很平常的。
believe動詞，后加一個句子，表示認為、相信、發(fā)表自己的看法。
I believe he is a good student.
我認為他是一名好學(xué)生。
拓展：在believe后面的從句里，如果有否定意義，需要把否定詞由從句轉(zhuǎn)移到主句，這叫做否定的轉(zhuǎn)移。如：
I believe he will come.
我認為他會來。
I don’t believe he will come.
我認為他不會來。
類似的用法的詞還有think, guess等。如：
He thinks he can study well.
他認為他能學(xué)好。
We don’t think he can swim.
我們認為他不能游泳。
I guess he is Lily’s brother.
我猜他是莉莉的兄弟。
I don’t guess he can come.
我猜他不能來。
（譯成漢語時，否定還應(yīng)回到從句上）
4. I agree with you.
我同意你的觀點。
agree with sb. 同意某人的觀點/意見/看法。如：
They don’t agree with me.
他們不同意我的觀點。
拓展：
①agree動詞“同意，答應(yīng)，應(yīng)允”
I want to swim, but my father doesn’t agree.
我想去游泳，但是我的爸爸不同意。
②agree to do sth. 同意去做某事
He agrees to swim this afternoon.
他同意今天下午去游泳。
③agree + that（從句），如：
They agree that I can buy a new bicycle.
他們同意我能買一輛新單車。
④agree on / about sth. 同意某事
We agree on / about this plan.
我們同意這份計劃。

你相當對。
quite副詞，相當，很。=pretty
如：She is quite young. = She is pretty young.
她相當年輕。
6. I think classical music is pleasant.
我認為古典音樂聽起來很舒適。
pleasant形容詞，令人愉快的，舒適的，其反義詞為unpleasant令人不愉快的，不舒適的。類似的通過在詞前加“un”構(gòu)成其反義詞的還有happy→unhappy，friendly→unfriendly，healthy → unhealthy等。
辨析：pleasant與pleased
兩者都表示“快樂的”，pleasant愉快的，特指某事或某物令人合意。如：a pleasant coat. pleased喜悅的，一般指人對某事或某物感到高興。
如：be pleased with sb. / sth. 對……感到高興
如：I am pleased with this pleasant trip.
我對這次愉快的旅程感到高興。
7. Because I made faces and made my classmates laugh when she was giving us the lesson.
因為當她正在給我們上課時，我做鬼臉使同學(xué)笑起來了。
